Right On Time
Yesterday I went to visit two coworkers in the hospital, Janus and Ethel, as they just had their first baby, Isabel. I talked to them and carried Isabel in my arms. Their testimony brought so much encouragement to me.
Janus and Ethel started working with us more than six years ago. They are both architects and are very good at what they do. We did not just work together, we also prayed together. We declared God’s faithfulness in their situation and believed with them for their first baby. Isabel is a promise fulfilled, for all of us who stood with, prayed for, and believed God with them. This year marks nine years of their marriage.
As I look at Janus and Ethel, I see the work God has done in their individual lives. I also see His work in their life as a couple. In the process of waiting, and being faithful to do what God has called them to do, they have grown tremendously. Now I see a couple so ready to be the parents God has called them to be.
What can we learn from this? We can always trust that God will fulfill His promise. The waiting may not be easy, but God is faithful and will always sustain us. We can also rest assured that He is never too early, and never too late. Just right on time.
I agree, it seems people tend to get impatient that they want to dictate what they want. trust and faith in god will experience calmness with the assurance of promises fulfilled.
