Not “I” but “WE”

Earlier today I had lunch with two office mates who encouraged me to write and start a blog. More like, showed me how to create a blog site. This, in a way is a result of that meeting.

I have learned a lot of lessons through the years, and have shared them on numerous occasions. Working with a lot of great, gifted, and talented people has given me a lifetime worth of lessons. I am now writing a blog that I have been meaning to start for years now.

I cannot accomplish a lot things in life alone, as today’s conversation reminded me. We may have all the great ideas, but sometimes we need another to push us to do something about it. On occasion, we need someone else to bring cohesion to our thoughts. And some days, all we have is the idea. And perhaps, someone else will need to run with it, and we just need to be in the background.

It is different for each one of us, depending on our season. One thing stands out though, when I had lunch with Ganns and Varsha — I couldn’t have started this without them, without that push, without that encouragement. If great things are ever to be accomplished, we need other people working with us. It is never an “I” but always a “WE” in every endeavor.
